Your New Company/Role:

As one of the established organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their growing team, based in Blacktown NSW 2148. This is a 3 month temporary (subject to extension and permanency). The successful candidate must have exposure in end to end accounting duties alongside some accounts receivable duties.

About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:

Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Team Leader:

Your duties include:

  • Bank Reconciliations – Check bank reconciliation everyday and confirm, assist with payment allocations, send copy of remittances and provide till payments
  • List price update – either from CIM, COM or Sales
  • Item discount group setup and updates
  • Releasing of Sales orders – over credit limit, value deviation or overdue balance
  • Debt Collection – Email customers – Statements, invoices, POD
  • Process credit card payments
  • Urgent Payment requests – Vendor payments
  • Vendor request forms – update bank details, email address
  • Customer new Account Setup
  • Fixed Asset Register update, creation of FA Number and FA disposal
  • Process employee reimbursements
  • Payroll Tax lodgments and Urgent payment Request
  • BAS lodgments
  • Income Tax Lodgment
  • Airplus Statements Reconciliation and Approval
  • ANZ Credit Card Statement Reconciliations
  • DLA Sales and Rebate Reconciliation
  • Promo and Sales Rebate monthly calculation
  • Credit adjustment for Sales Rebates and Journal
  • Month end tasks - journals, reports, stock reporting
  • Quarterly tasks - reporting
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be required

Ideal Profile

This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end accounting duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:

  • Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in similar role
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in debt collection as part of the role
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience with large ERP systems - Microsoft Dynamics/Navision software is highly preferred but not mandatory

Benefits

  • $35 - $42 + Super (based on experience) [competitive salary once gone permanent]
  • Can commence after the Easter break/open to someone who has 1 week notice period
